Valve Flanges and Bulkhead Fittings     order product

Flextank offers two ways to attach valves to the tanks. The reasons for this involve valve positioning and cost.

Drain valves are always positioned in the same place on a given tank and molded in threaded inserts provide secure attachment points for a Flextank designed valve flange. These stainless steel flanges are made in high volume and provide a secure and cost effective attachment for tri clover drain valves.

 

Package pricing is available when drain and sample valves and a ferment lock are ordered together with a tank. (Cat. # AK1 and AK2)

Flextank designed bulkhead fittings allow a tri clover (also known as a 3A Sanitary Fitting) flange to be positioned anywhere on our tanks. These fittings are available in 1.5 in. and 2 in. sizes and are most often used for attaching racking valves. They are rugged high quality fittings machined from a stainless steel billet, produced in limited quantities and consequently relatively expensive. The 2 in. unit uses a brass retaining nut as a precaution against galling on the large diameter thread.
